Borrowers may be liable for debt repayment through the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). When the loan proceeds on which the borrower is seeking redemption have been used, the borrower may apply for forgiveness. Borrowers may apply for repayment at any point up to the loan's maturity date. Certain companies are liable for a Second Draw PPP loan if they have already secured a Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan. Certain qualifying applicants who have already secured a PPP loan are now eligible to apply for a Second Draw PPP loan on the same general loan terms as their First Draw PPP loan. Payroll expenses, including insurance, will be covered with Second Draw PPP loans. PPP is a loan intended to give small companies a direct opportunity to keep their employees on the payroll. The Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) is a loan intended to give small companies a direct opportunity to keep their employees on the payroll. PPP debt repayment may be available to borrowers. CDCs, SBA Microlenders, Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), and Minority Depository Institutions (MDIs) are the only community financial institutions currently providing PPP loans until May 31, 2021, or until remaining funds are depleted.
